In a February 29th, 2012 article, Bloomberg reported about an arrest of Texas Home Health-care owners and office manager. According to the Justice Department, the seven individuals were arrested for billing the U.S. government health programs $374 million in services for “services that weren’t provided or necessary”. We have been seeing the Obama administration increase its efforts to crack down on theft of U.S. government health program funds. Although there aren’t any reliable figures, Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn estimates that the government health programs lose $60 billion to $100 billion annually to fraud, waste and abuse.
